Obituary
Sam Zachariah was born on March 24th, 1978.
He is the son of Thomas and Saramma Zachariah and the brother of Cyril Zachariah.Sam was a member of the St. James Mar Thoma Church. He graduated from Penn State university with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Sam was working as a statisticalanalyst in Washington D.C. He cherished the times he spent with his church youth group andwith his friends from Penn State. Sam participated in the New York Five Boro Bike Tour.
Sam’s soft-spoken gracious nature, his desire to be excellent in the things he attempted, his genuine concern for his friends and family – these characteristics of Sam, we remember with fondness. In athletics, as in life, Sam was a team player who loved to play any role that would make his team better. He was a mentor, a companion and most of all a wonderful friend to all who knew him. Sam will be remembered for his warmth, friendliness and infectious smile. Sam’s grandfather, father, mother and brother, his extended family and friends will miss him deeply.
“ The gap you leave in our hearts Will never be filled again”
We are all worried about our beloved Sam Zachariah's suddenly demise. I want to remind you all that death is our universal fate because of our first parents Adam and eve, but death is not the end. Death for a Christian is the beginning of life. Very often we say that life is a Journey; A Journey to eternity. Death is the Vehicle that takes us to eternal home. My hearty condolence.
In Psalms 39: 4 onwards we read that Lord, remind me how brief my life on earth will be. Remember me that my days are numbered, and my life is fleeing away. My life is no longer than the width of my hand. An entire life time is just a moment to you; human existence is but a breath."
Our beloved member and brother Sam Zachariah has finished his life in this world according to God's plan. Now he went to eternity. Life is full of meetings and partings. Today onwards he will live in and through our memories. In my short experience I could learn that Sam was soft spoken nature, His desire to be excellent in the thing he attempted, his genuine concern for his friends and family, these characteristics of Sam, we remember him with fondness.
The best thing we can offer before his memory that our dedication to live for Jesus Christ. If we do so, we will meet him again on that day in heaven. I wish and pray that may the almighty God give peace which passes all understanding to his parents, brother Cyril and all friends.
May God bless us all.
